  • Act 160 - Information About (2000)
    This collection of documents has lots of information about the coordination and financing of Act 160 long-term care services in Vermont.
  • Nursing Home Medicaid Study (1998)
    Nursing Home Medicaid Study Legislative Report: This document focuses on the distribution of Medicaid funds to long-term care service providers, both institutional and community-based.
  • Nursing Home Quality Project (1999)
    Nursing Home Quality Project Final Report: The Vermont Department of Aging & Disabilities contracted in August 1998 with the Vermont Program for Quality in Health Care (VPQHC) to undertake a nursing home quality project. This is a final report on that project. The goal of the project was to provide guidance to the Department in their choice of quality and efficiency indicators.
  • Nursing Home to Medicaid Waiver (1998)
    Nursing Homes to Medicaid Waiver in Vermont: The study group for this report is made up of the ninety individuals who entered certain Medicaid Waiver Programs (MWP) directly from a nursing home during SFY 1998.
  • One to One: Vermonters in Transition (1999)
    Using new screening and identification tools, Vermont's "One to One" project will target specific nursing home residents living in selected areas of the state. Specialized case managers, working as members of integrated, multi-disciplinary case management teams, will offer education, support, and counseling to nursing home residents who wish to move to a community setting.
  • Paraprofessional Staff Study (March 2001)
    In Vermont, as elsewhere in the nation, the need for paraprofessionals to provide personal assistance services is increasing as the number of elders and persons with disabilities grows. The Vermont Department of Aging and Independent Living established a Steering Committee to develop an action plan for creating "a stable, valued, and adequately reimbursed workforce to provide quality care for individuals and families."
  • Survey of Vermonters Who Use Long-Term Care Programs and Services (2001)
    As part of a comprehensive strategy to improve Vermont's system of long-term care, DA&D has crafted partnerships to plan and manage long-term care services available to Vermonters. This report is the result of a survey to measure satisfaction with systems of care and overall quality of life.
  • Transitions Across a Lifespan for Elderly/Disabled Vermonters (1999)
    1999 Governor's Prevention Conference Speech. DA&D Commissioner Patrick Flood was the host of this Conference and presented this speech to talk, in part, about the values that he believes must guide those with disabilities as well as older people as they transition across their life span.
